Biography
Mark J. Dynan is a shareholder with Gierke Curwen, Dynan P.S. He joined the firm in April 2005. Prior to joining GCD, Mark J. Dynan had been a sole practitioner in his law firm located downtown Tacoma for over a decade. He has broad experience and background in the area of litigation pertaining to insurance defense issues.
He has formerly been an Assistant Attorney General for DSHS and DLI. While with DLI he worked with the areas involving Compensation claims, WISHA violations and ESAC. Mr. Dynan was trained specifically in these areas and tried many cases on behalf of the Department. After leaving the State he went to work at Eisenhower, Carlson for a number of years as an associate. There he handled cases on behalf of corporations and employers in both the liability arena and the area of Labor and Industries. The cases he handled ranged from million dollar claims to those having only a few violations.
Currently he defends major litigation for major insurance companies as well as for a variety of employers in all state courts as well as before the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals and the Employment Security Commission. Mr. Dynan also assists individuals and companies in a variety of employment and labor issues.
