About Us

The law firm of Gierke, Curwen, P.S., was founded in 1964 by Edwin R. Johnson and Bradford M. Gierke. Gregory B. Curwen joined the firm in 1974 as out-of-state counsel admitted in the State of Georgia, and was first licensed to practice law in the State of Washington in 1975. Hugo Metzler also joined the firm in 1974. Edwin R. Johnson retired in the late 1970s and died in 1979; Hugo Metzler retired in the early 1980s and died in 1995; Bradford M. Gierke died in 1995. The current firm is comprised of shareholders Greg B. Curwen, Mark J. Dynan, and Mark W. Conforti. The firm has four legal assistants and three paralegals with its principal office in Tacoma, Washington, and maintains a satellite office in Seattle, Washington.
